Studio Etiquette

We ask that you observe the following studio etiquette when you share our space:

  • We encourage you to reserve your space in advance to facilitate check in and so your teacher knows how many students to expect

  • Walk ins are permitted at the discretion of the teacher or front desk person

  • Aim to arrive 10 minutes early; the teacher locks the door when class begins and, in fairness to the class, latecomers are not admitted

  • Due to chemical sensitivities, we ask that you avoid wearing perfume or highly scented products to the studio.

  • Please take off your shoes at the door and turn off your cell phone when you come in

  • Always write your name and pass type on the sign in sheet when you arrive

  • Let the teacher know before class begins if you are a beginner, are pregnant, have a medical condition or injuries, or have any other concerns

  • Always listen to your body! Everybody is different and no pose should cause pain. If you are concerned, move out of the pose and consult with your teacher

  • You are welcome to modify any pose as needed or to use a resting pose (such as child's pose) at any time during a class

  • At the end of your class, please wipe down your mat and put all props away neatly

  • Enjoy a cup of tea or water while you're at the studio. Dirty cups go in the tray on the bottom shelf of the tea cart

  • Please do not water the meditation tree with leftover tea or water - if the soil is too moist, the tree roots will rot away
